Job Description

Lucky Strike Entertainment is currently seeking an Executive Chef to join their team and lead the culinary operations within their fast-paced, high-volume retail entertainment centers. The role is more than just about food preparation; it plays a critical part in delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high standards of food quality and service. An Executive Chef at Lucky Strike Entertainment is responsible for managing all aspects of food and beverage operations, including menu adherence, inventory purchasing, cost control, event execution, and team leadership in kitchen staff development. This position reports directly to the center’s General Manager and works closely with the Operations and Sales teams to deliver an outstanding food experience that complements the lively atmosphere of their entertainment venues.

The Executive Chef will play a vital role in budgeting, monitoring revenue, labor, and supply costs while ensuring profit margins are met or exceeded. Key responsibilities also include supervising the preparation and service of food at various events, promoting sanitation and safety compliance in line with Department of Health regulations, and fostering a productive, motivated, and skilled kitchen team. The ideal candidate is an experienced kitchen leader with excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and proven profit and loss management capabilities. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 5 years of kitchen management or executive chef experience
  • current ServSafe certification
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • ability to lead and manage a diverse team
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or culinary degree preferred
  • 5+ years of kitchen management or executive chef experience
  • experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venues required
  • extensive experience in banquet style events
  • experience managing and developing teams required
  • current ServSafe certification required
  • ServSafe instructor certification or ability to be certified preferred
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • proven profit and loss management capabilities

Job Duties

  • Adhere to the company’s mandated F&B menu and purchasing programs
  • maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, as well as operating cash flow related to food operations
  • review monthly profit & loss statements and make adjustments as necessary
  • work with the Operations team and Sales staff to plan, supervise, and execute all events including preparation and service of food and beverage
  • assist with cooking when needed
  • estimate food consumption and make purchases according to specified food programs
  • schedule staff efficiently to accommodate business volume shifts
  • recruit, hire, train, and retain kitchen staff
  • develop key staff including sous chefs and lead cooks
  • ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards
  • supervise food preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage
  • manage kitchen equipment maintenance
  • implement and conduct sanitation audits and cleaning schedules to comply with Department of Health regulations
  • report any critical issues to the General Manager
