The Executive Chef position at Robson Ranch Denton HOA is a full-time role vital to maintaining and elevating the quality and consistency of the food served. The chef will be responsible for overseeing all food preparation activities, including prepping, sautéing, broiling, deep frying, and plating menu items with precision and a keen eye for detail. This leadership role requires a seasoned professional who can effectively manage kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness and the proper maintenance of all kitchen equipment. The Executive Chef will play a pivotal role in menu planning, working in collaboration with Food and Beverage management to design menus for daily specials, banquets, and other special functions that meet the tastes and expectations of the community members.

In addition to food preparation, the chef will be charged with supervising the kitchen staff, including scheduling, hiring, evaluating, and when necessary, disciplining staff members. The role demands strong human resource capabilities as the Executive Chef is also responsible for the preparation of timecards, payroll, and other HR-related documentation. The ability to hire, train, and retain a proficient kitchen team is essential to the role’s success.

Financial management is another critical component of this position. The Executive Chef must make purchasing decisions judiciously, ensuring that all food items are ordered within set budgetary guidelines from approved distributors either online or by phone. This responsibility extends to verifying the correctness of all food deliveries and maintaining rigorous inventory control, using both computerized food and beverage systems and manual methods to track stock levels and food costs accurately.

The Executive Chef will ensure compliance with all health codes and food safety regulations, holding a valid Food Handler’s Card and ServSafe certification as essential credentials. An experienced operator, the chef will consistently maintain the budgeted cost of sales for both food and labor while optimizing kitchen workflows and menu presentation, emphasizing both taste and appearance. Job Requirements

  • Five plus years as executive chef with supervisory experience
