Job Requirements
- Five plus years as executive chef with supervisory experience
- Food handler’s card
- Must be ServSafe certified
- Inventory control ability to keep accurate food inventory
- Consistently maintain the budgeted cost of sales for food and labor
- Ability to update menus regularly
- Ability to produce, execute, train staff on appealing, quality menus in both taste and appearance
- Knowledge of health codes associated with a kitchen
Job Qualifications
- Five plus years as executive chef with supervisory experience
- Food Handler’s Card
- ServSafe certification
- Knowledge of health codes and food safety regulations
- Ability to plan and update menus
- Experience in staff training and supervision
- Strong inventory control and budget management skills
Job Duties
- Oversee all food preparation including prepping, sautéing, broiling, deep frying, and plating menu items
- Supervise kitchen staff including scheduling, interviewing, hiring, terminating, evaluating, and disciplining employees
- Prepare timecards, payroll, and HR-related paperwork for all kitchen employees
- Plan menus in collaboration with Food and Beverage management for functions, banquets, daily specials, and regular menu items
- Make purchasing decisions and verify food deliveries ensuring quality and budget adherence
- Manage inventory and perform inventory reporting for food costs using computer systems and manual methods
- Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of kitchen equipment and compliance with health codes
