The position available is for a Kitchen Manager who will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations within our healthcare support environment. This full-time role, with an attractive salary of $75,000 per year and being a Pay Grade 12 position, requires a hands-on leader who can manage meal preparation in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. The Kitchen Manager will ensure that all food service meets high standards of quality, safety, and sanitation. This includes planning menus, training staff, managing inventory, and maintaining equipment cleanliness. The role requires collaboration with multiple departments to deliver smooth and efficient food service operations. Job Requirements
- Associate of science degree or equivalent experience
- three to five years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- knowledge of food preparation, safety, and sanitation
- computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and email
- ability to plan menus and manage inventory
- excellent leadership and communication skills
- capability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
Job Qualifications
- Associate of science degree or equivalent experience
- three to five years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- comprehensive knowledge of food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook, email, and internet usage
- extensive catering experience (a plus)
- experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations (highly desirable)
- ServSafe certification (highly desirable)
Job Duties
- Plan regular and modified menus according to established guidelines
- train kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment
- enforce food safety and sanitation standards based on company and regulatory requirements
- establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for kitchen equipment and work areas
- manage inventory of food and non-food supplies to assure availability and control costs
- comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations
- perform other duties as assigned
