The role of Campus Executive Chef is central to driving the culinary strategy and operational success of a large, high-volume residential dining program. This position involves overseeing multiple dining outlets responsible for serving thousands of meals each week, ensuring consistency, quality, and innovation are at the forefront of all culinary efforts. The Campus Executive Chef will lead the development and execution of creative culinary programs designed to engage students, including interactive cooking classes and campus-wide cooking demonstrations, fostering a vibrant dining culture on campus.
The successful candidate will work closely with university administration and senior leadership to strengthen partnerships and align dining services with university goals. Collaboration across district and regional leadership teams is essential to achieving culinary excellence and operational efficiencies. The role also includes oversight of the culinary components of high-profile catering events, supporting the catering team to deliver exceptional service and memorable experiences.
Working primarily a Monday to Friday schedule, with some evening and weekend commitments required for catering events, this role offers a stable work environment with opportunities for professional growth in a respected and expanding organization. Job Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience
- Executive chef experience in high-volume foodservice operations
- Contract foodservice experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to lead cooking classes and engage diverse audiences
- Availability to work Monday-Friday with some evenings and weekends
- Experience overseeing multi-unit operations and catering

Job Qualifications
- Seasoned culinary professional with executive chef experience in high-volume operations ($30M+ accounts preferred)
- Contract foodservice experience required
- Higher education/university dining experience strongly preferred
- Must possess an outgoing, open-minded personality with the ability to lead classes and engage diverse audiences
- Calm under pressure with the ability to be presentable in both hands-on line work and executive-level settings
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience required
- Multi-unit oversight and catering experience preferred
Job Duties
- Develop and execute innovative culinary programs including cooking classes and campus-wide cooking demonstrations
- Ensure proper culinary standards and techniques across large dining halls in a high-volume operation
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with university administration and senior leadership
