Job Description
KBR Mission Technology Solutions is a leading provider of full life cycle professional and technical solutions dedicated to improving operational readiness and driving innovation. The company plays an essential role in supporting critical missions across land, air, sea, space, and cyberspace for prestigious clients including the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, NASA, and various federal agencies. With specialization in engineering, logistics, operations, science, program management, mission IT, and cybersecurity, KBR delivers comprehensive and reliable solutions designed to foster a safer, more secure, and sustainable future. Founded on a commitment to excellence, KBR continually brings together experts and innovative technologies to help meet and exceed the evolving needs of its clients in highly complex and mission-critical environments.
The Executive Chef role is situated within KBR's NSS Intel division and will be based at an OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) location, requiring 100 percent onsite presence. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to KBR's broader mission by ensuring top-quality meal services in support of the company’s operations and personnel deployed overseas. As the Executive Chef, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional culinary services that align with KBR’s standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. The role demands a dedicated culinary professional passionate about food preparation, menu creation, kitchen management, and compliance with health and safety standards.
The Executive Chef will lead the food preparation and kitchen operations to consistently produce meals that meet the highest quality and flavor standards. This includes hands-on cooking, ingredient preparation, managing kitchen cleanliness, enforcing sanitation protocols, and maintaining inventory. The role requires excellent time management skills to ensure that all meals are served timely in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration with kitchen staff is vital to facilitate communication, oversee meal orders, and maintain an efficient workflow. Moreover, you will be entrusted with creating and managing menus tailored to the specific requirements and preferences of the personnel served.
This position is contingent upon contract award and requires an active SECRET security clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance. The role demands someone with significant food services experience, particularly in large-scale operations such as cafeteria-style or multi-entree food services. Proven leadership experience is critical as you will be responsible for developing and guiding the food service team to maintain high standards of service and operational excellence. Your expertise in Serve-Safe standards and ability to work in challenging food service environments will ensure compliance and enhance overall meal service quality.
Joining KBR means becoming part of a passionate team that values collaboration, excellence, and innovation. The company fosters a Zero Harm culture with a strong commitment to being a People First organization, dedicated to helping employees belong, connect, and grow. KBR stands by its values of delivering dependable solutions and making a tangible difference in national security and mission success. The Executive Chef role is not only about culinary excellence but also about supporting the wellbeing and morale of personnel working under demanding conditions by providing nourishing and high-quality meals.
