Job Description
Cowboys Golf Club, located in Grapevine, TX, is part of the prestigious Arcis Golf family, known for its commitment to elevating the golfing and dining experience for members and guests alike. Arcis Golf prides itself on fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where team members thrive by anticipating needs, building authentic connections, and delivering exceptional service with a grateful spirit and genuine respect for one another. The club boasts top-tier golf facilities alongside culinary offerings that match its high standards of quality and hospitality. This dedication to excellence extends beyond the golf course, creating an environment where both staff and guests feel valued and inspired.
The role of Culinary Director at Cowboys Golf Club is a leadership position dedicated to managing and elevating the culinary department. This position requires a dynamic individual who can directly coordinate all culinary operations, lead the kitchen team with a focus on talent development and retention, and uphold the highest operational and food safety standards. As Culinary Director, you will be entrusted with ensuring the club’s menus not only meet quality expectations but also drive profitability through efficient cost management and culinary creativity. You will work with national food programs related to menu planning, approved product lists, and inventory control to maintain consistency and fiscal accountability.
In this role, financial acumen is crucial as you will analyse monthly financial reports to ensure the culinary department meets its budget and profit goals. Should performance fall short, you will develop targeted action plans to address these gaps. A strong emphasis is placed on staff coaching to guarantee timely delivery of high-quality dishes while also maintaining compliance with all regulatory health and safety standards at federal, state, and local levels. Continuous communication within the organization is essential, as you will collaborate with other departments to coordinate special events and programs that enhance the member and guest experience.
Your responsibilities will also include menu creation for daily offerings and special events, ensuring that every dish is engineered to meet Arcis Golf’s standards for taste, quality, and margins. You will serve as a conduit of best practices and innovative strategies to regional and executive culinary leadership, helping to elevate culinary operations company-wide. This position requires a proactive leader capable of not only day-to-day management but also strategic planning to improve both the quality and financial results over the short and long term.
The Culinary Director role demands a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the club’s operations. The ideal candidate will have prior chef leadership experience, strong organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities. Certification such as ServSafe, to be obtained within 30 days of hire, is mandatory to ensure compliance with food safety standards. The role also involves physical demands typical of kitchen environments, including handling heavy items and standing for extended periods.
Arcis Golf is committed to equal employment opportunities, embracing diversity and prohibiting discrimination in any form based on race, color, religion, gender, age, disability, or any other protected status. This inclusive philosophy is reflected in the workplace culture at Cowboys Golf Club, where team members are celebrated for their unique contributions and supported in a collaborative, respectful environment. If you are a culinary leader looking to advance your career at a premier golf club with the support of a nationally recognized brand, this opportunity offers a challenging and rewarding path to make a significant impact.
