The Executive Chef role at Lucky Strike Entertainment is a prestigious leadership position that plays a critical part in delivering exceptional food and beverage experiences to guests. This role is suited for an experienced culinary professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume retail entertainment environment and who possesses strong customer service skills, excellent interpersonal communication, and outstanding organizational abilities. Reporting directly to the center's General Manager, the Executive Chef is responsible for managing all food operations, including maintaining budgetary controls over revenue, costs of sales, labor, and supplies. This position requires strategic planning of menu adherence, purchasing programs, and event execution, working closely with operations and sales teams to deliver seamless catering and food services at the various entertainment venues and events.

A core responsibility of the Executive Chef is to build, train, and lead a highly competent kitchen staff including sous chefs, lead cooks, and other kitchen team members, ensuring quality and presentation standards meet company expectations consistently. The chef oversees food preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage to maintain product freshness and quality. In addition, the role demands strict compliance with health and sanitation regulations through routine kitchen audits and equipment maintenance, guaranteeing safe and clean culinary operations. The Executive Chef also plays a proactive role in food cost management by estimating food consumption accurately and scheduling staff effectively to adapt to business volume changes, thus optimizing operational efficiency.

Candidates for this role are expected to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in kitchen management or as an executive chef, preferably accompanied by a bachelor’s or culinary degree. Experience in banquet-style events and high-volume entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venues is highly valuable. Possession of current ServSafe certification is mandatory, with the preference given to candidates having ServSafe instructor certification or the ability to obtain it. This role demands a leader who can take accountability, fostering a motivated team culture within a demanding yet rewarding entertainment center environment. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Adhere to the company’s mandated food and beverage menu and purchasing programs
  • Maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, and supplies
  • Review monthly profit and loss statements and make necessary adjustments
  • Plan, supervise, and execute all events including food preparation, service, and cleanup
  • Work with operations and sales teams for event coordination
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain kitchen staff including developing sous chefs and lead cooks
  • Ensure product quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards
  • Oversee food preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage
  • Manage kitchen equipment maintenance and conduct sanitation audits
  • Comply with local Department of Health regulations
  • Report critical issues to the General Manager
