The Executive Chef role at Aramark is a dynamic and creative position that goes beyond traditional food preparation. Your daily responsibilities will include following established production guidelines and safety procedures to ensure a safe and efficient kitchen operation.

This position requires someone passionate about food and dedicated to upholding Aramark's rigorous health and safety standards. You will be responsible for setting up workstations, processing ingredients, handling kitchen tools with care, and preparing meals using diverse cooking techniques such as baking, broiling, roasting, and steaming. Excellence in food presentation and sanitation is paramount, as is maintaining compliance with food safety regulations and Aramark’s specific protocols. Beyond the technical skills, the Executive Chef role involves delivering superior customer service and contributing to a positive work atmosphere. You will also play a critical role in protecting company property and ensuring sanitation and safety standards are met consistently.

Job Requirements

  • past experience working as a cook or in a similar culinary position
  • understanding of food safety standards and hygiene protocols
  • ability to follow recipes and production guidelines accurately
  • capability to use kitchen tools and appliances safely
  • good communication skills and ability to work within a team
  • willingness to acquire relevant food safety certification if not already certified
  • having a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required

Job Qualifications

  • past experience working as a cook or in a similar culinary position
  • firm grasp of the fundamentals of cooking techniques and principles of food preparation
  • having a grasp of food safety standards and hygiene protocols is essential
  • acquire the pertinent food safety certification, if it has not been obtained as yet
  • core competencies in arithmetic and numerical counting
  • apt in effectively communicating and collaborating within a team
  • having a high school diploma or an equivalent certification is suggested but not mandatory

Job Duties

  • follow set production guidelines and recipes to prepare a variety of meals
  • set up workstations by laying out essential ingredients and tools
  • process ingredients by chopping, trimming, measuring, blending, and so forth
  • handle a diverse array of kitchen tools and appliances, like knives, ovens, stoves, and mixers, with safety precautions in mind
  • employ a variety of cooking techniques like baking, broiling, roasting, and steaming to prepare and create diverse meals
  • follow established norms to layout, decorate, and serve food to meet presentation requirements
  • conform to all food safety regulations and store food in the recommended manner
