The hotel seeking to fill the Executive Chef position is an independently owned and operated resort managed by Pacifica Companies, an independent franchisee. This establishment operates separately from Marriott International, Inc., meaning all employment-related decisions such as hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, and benefits are controlled solely by the franchisee. This ensures that the employment experience is unique and tailored to the local management's values and standards, reflecting a commitment to high-quality service and guest satisfaction within the hospitality industry. The Executive Chef role is critical in driving the culinary vision of the resort by developing a strategic point of difference through an exceptional and creative food product. This role involves comprehensive planning, directing, supervising, and controlling of all food and beverage item selection and production. The Executive Chef ensures the highest levels of product quality, presentation, and rigorous food sanitation standards. Menu planning, recipe creation, food ordering, labor staffing, scheduling, and oversight of food production, storage, and sanitation all fall under the purview of the Executive Chef. Additionally, this leader is responsible for directing the hiring, training, and supervision of all members of the food production team, fostering an environment of professionalism, culinary excellence, and teamwork.
