This individual will lead the culinary strategy and execution, overseeing all aspects of the food experience across multiple off-site venues. Operationally, this role demands overseeing all culinary functions for off-premise events ranging from intimate gatherings to galas serving over 1,000 guests. You will implement scalable systems designed to deliver restaurant-quality cuisine beyond traditional kitchen settings, while ensuring impeccable food quality, presentation, timing, and consistency regardless of the venue. Partnership with operations and event teams is essential to ensure seamless logistics and kitchen flow at remote locations.
Leading a high-performing culinary brigade, you will recruit, mentor, and inspire your team, providing hands-on leadership during key events. The development of comprehensive training programs focused on technique, consistency, sanitation, and luxury service standards will be a key priority, fostering a culture of professionalism, creativity, accountability, and pride.
Financial management is a substantial part of the role, with full P&L accountability for the culinary division. You will develop pricing models, manage procurement and vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and control food and labor costs to maintain profitability without compromising quality. Creating forecasting tools to support seasonality and event volume variations will support operational planning and efficiency.
Compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards across all locations is mandatory, and you will be responsible for ensuring that all certifications and documentation are current and in line with regulatory requirements. Job Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience, with significant luxury catering or multi-venue event experience
- Proven success managing large-scale off-premise events
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated P&L management experience
- Expertise in menu costing, procurement strategy, and vendor negotiations
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously
- Refined palate and deep knowledge of global cuisines, modern techniques, and culinary trends
- ServSafe Certification (or equivalent)
Job Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive culinary leadership experience
- Experience in luxury catering or multi-venue event management
