Job Description
Our establishment is a renowned culinary institution committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences through innovative gastronomic creativity and meticulous attention to detail. We operate as a high-end restaurant known for our commitment to quality and excellence in both food preparation and customer service. Our team is dedicated to fostering a collaborative and respectful kitchen environment where innovation thrives and culinary standards are always met with precision and passion. We are currently seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our kitchen operations and continue pushing the boundaries of culinary excellence.
The Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all culinary aspects of the restaurant, from menu development to team leadership and kitchen management. This pivotal role involves planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities, ensuring that all meals meet our high-quality standards, and spearheading the innovation of new menu items that capture our guests' palates. The Executive Chef must have extensive experience in kitchen management and the capability to estimate food and labor costs accurately, maintaining efficiency and profitability.
In addition to menu and kitchen oversight, this role is instrumental in shaping the culture of the kitchen, setting the tone for the heart of the house with positivity, professionalism, and respect for every team member. The Executive Chef supervises kitchen staff, recruits new team members, manages scheduling, and resolves any arising issues or complaints promptly and effectively. This role also entails handling administrative tasks such as payroll, equipment procurement, and compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring that all operations adhere to current nutrition, sanitation, and safety standards.
At times, the Executive Chef may engage directly in food preparation and work alongside cooks during busy periods, demonstrating leadership by example. Furthermore, training and development of the kitchen staff fall under their responsibilities, reinforcing skills and promoting ongoing learning to uphold the kitchen's standards.
This full-time position requires a proven track record as a head chef with excellent kitchen management skills. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to delegate tasks effectively, solve problems efficiently, and maintain excellent communication and leadership skills. Continuous learning to keep up with cooking trends and best practices, along with proficiency in software applications related to restaurant management, are essential. A bachelor’s degree in Culinary Science or a related certificate is required. Our offer includes an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where creativity and leadership are highly valued, along with potential for professional growth and development within our esteemed culinary team.
