Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in culinary arts or related field preferred
  • minimum 5 years of progressive culinary experience in a hotel or hospitality setting
  • proven leadership experience managing diverse culinary teams
  • knowledge of safe food handling practices and regulatory compliance
  • ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • proficiency with kitchen and scheduling software

Job Duties

  • Lead culinary team to consistently execute at a high level
  • develop and implement creative menus for outlets and catering
  • oversee all kitchen operations including procurement, production, preparation, and presentation
  • develop recipes and cost controls
  • conduct plating specifications and line checks
  • manage production schedules and cleaning duties
  • ensure safe and sanitary work environment adhering to standards and regulations
  • optimize profitability by monitoring inventory and food cost controls
  • prepare weekly staff schedules and manage staffing levels
  • recruit and mentor kitchen team members
  • participate in strategic planning and capital projects
  • attend operational and banquet event meetings
  • ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • respond to food-related feedback
  • maintain kitchen equipment
  • promote teamwork within the kitchen and with supporting departments
  • engage in media and community opportunities
