Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of kitchen management or chef experience
  • current ServSafe certification
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • strong leadership and organizational skills
  • experience in banquet-style events
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • availability to work flexible hours including events

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of kitchen management or chef experience
  • bachelor’s or culinary degree preferred
  • experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue required
  • extensive experience in banquet-style events
  • experience managing and developing teams
  • current ServSafe certification required
  • ServSafe instructor certification or ability to be certified preferred

Job Duties

  • adhere to the company’s mandated food and beverage menu and purchasing programs
  • maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, and operating cash flow related to food operations
  • review monthly profit and loss statements and make adjustments as necessary
  • work with operations team and sales staff to plan, supervise, and execute all events, including food and beverage preparation, service, and cleanup
  • assist with cooking when needed
  • estimate food consumption and make purchases from specified food programs
  • schedule staff efficiently according to business volume shifts
  • work with center management to recruit, hire, train, and retain kitchen staff including sous chefs and lead cooks
  • supervise and ensure product quality, freshness, presentation, portioning, garnishing, and food storage meet company standards
  • manage kitchen equipment maintenance, conduct sanitation audits, implement cleaning schedules to comply with local Department of Health regulations
  • report any critical issues to the General Manager
