Job Requirements
- minimum 5 years of kitchen management or executive chef experience
- bachelor’s or culinary degree preferred but not required
- experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue required
- proven track record in managing banquet style events
- strong leadership and team development skills
- current ServSafe certification
- ability to obtain ServSafe instructor certification preferred
- ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume environment
- capability to stand, walk, bend for extended periods and lift with assistance
Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of kitchen management or Executive Chef experience
- bachelor’s or culinary degree preferred
- experience in high-volume retail, entertainment, hospitality, or restaurant venue required
- extensive banquet style event experience
- experience managing and developing teams required
- current ServSafe certification required
- ServSafe instructor certification or ability to be certified preferred
Job Duties
- adhere to company’s mandated food and beverage menu and purchasing programs
- maintain budgeted revenue, costs of sales, labor, supplies, and operating cash flow related to food operations
- review monthly profit and loss statements and make necessary adjustments
- work with operations and sales teams to plan, supervise, and execute all events including food preparation, service, and cleanup
- estimate food consumption and make appropriate purchases
- schedule staff to accommodate business volume shifts
- recruit, hire, train, and retain kitchen staff including sous chefs and lead cooks
- ensure food quality, freshness, and presentation meet company standards
- supervise preparation, portioning, garnishing, and storage of all food
- manage kitchen equipment maintenance and implement sanitation audits and cleaning schedules to comply with Department of Health regulations
- report critical issues to the General Manager
