Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- at least six years of experience as an executive chef in high-volume and upscale dining environments
- extensive experience in Italian cuisine and from-scratch kitchen operations
- strong leadership and team management skills
- knowledge of food safety regulations and health standards
- ability to work a flexible schedule, typically 55-60 hours per week, including nights, weekends and holidays
- proficiency in financial management related to kitchen operations
- excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Job Qualifications
- minimum six years experience managing high-volume upscale kitchens, preferably with Italian-forward cuisine
- demonstrated passion and skill in sourcing, butchery, pasta making, and from-scratch cooking
- proven leadership abilities in staff development and team motivation
- strong knowledge of kitchen operations including budgeting and inventory control
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- entrepreneurial spirit with a hands-on cooking approach
Job Duties
- create experiences by championing internal hospitality and leading a team to craft memorable dishes
- inspire your team by nurturing a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation
- jump on the line as a hands-on leader working alongside the kitchen staff
- oversee kitchen business operations including quality control, inventory management, and adhering to health and safety regulations
- collaborate with leadership to maximize kitchen efficiency and manage labor, budgets, and forecasts
- promote problem resolution and effective communication within the team
- act as an ambassador of the Indigo Road Hospitality Group’s values and standards
