Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least six years of experience as an executive chef in high-volume and upscale dining environments
  • extensive experience in Italian cuisine and from-scratch kitchen operations
  • strong leadership and team management skills
  • knowledge of food safety regulations and health standards
  • ability to work a flexible schedule, typically 55-60 hours per week, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • proficiency in financial management related to kitchen operations
  • excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • minimum six years experience managing high-volume upscale kitchens, preferably with Italian-forward cuisine
  • demonstrated passion and skill in sourcing, butchery, pasta making, and from-scratch cooking
  • proven leadership abilities in staff development and team motivation
  • strong knowledge of kitchen operations including budgeting and inventory control
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • entrepreneurial spirit with a hands-on cooking approach

Job Duties

  • create experiences by championing internal hospitality and leading a team to craft memorable dishes
  • inspire your team by nurturing a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation
  • jump on the line as a hands-on leader working alongside the kitchen staff
  • oversee kitchen business operations including quality control, inventory management, and adhering to health and safety regulations
  • collaborate with leadership to maximize kitchen efficiency and manage labor, budgets, and forecasts
  • promote problem resolution and effective communication within the team
  • act as an ambassador of the Indigo Road Hospitality Group’s values and standards
