Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary degree or certification preferred
  • minimum 5 years experience in executive chef or senior kitchen role
  • strong leadership and communication skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • proficiency in menu planning and cost management
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • ability to maintain quality and consistency
  • physical ability to stand for long periods

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times
  • provide personalized service to restaurant and hotel guests
  • communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members
  • plan menus, cost them out, set up line requirements and staffing
  • review work schedules and plan/forecast with staffing needs and food production
  • estimate food requirements and order food from suppliers
  • maintain quality of food for guests and employer
  • instruct cooking team on cooking techniques
  • inspect and taste all foods prepared before serving
  • adjust flavors and presentation as needed
  • inspect kitchen and walk-ins for cleaning and equipment repair
  • maintain sanitation standards as per health regulations
  • manage food cost and maintain budget
  • accountable for department profit and loss
  • attend all required meetings
  • communicate all information daily
  • assist other team members and departments to improve overall performance
  • perform other duties as assigned by management
