Job Requirements
- Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of required degree or diploma
- Associate's in Culinary Arts or equivalent education/experience
- Chef certification or formal culinary training
- Serve Save Certified
- Certified Dietary Manager
- Minimum 5 years recent relevant experience
- Ability to lead and motivate staff
- Knowledge of food production and delivery
- Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office and relevant food service applications
- Knowledge of HACCP guidelines and food safety procedures
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent education/experience
- Chef certification or formal culinary training
- Serve Save Certified
- Certified Dietary Manager
- Minimum 5 years recent relevant experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and food service management software such as CBORD Food Service Suite and Micros
- Knowledge of HACCP guidelines
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Customer service and marketing skills
Job Duties
- Provide overall management and direction to food production and storage operations
- Lead planning, organizing, staffing, and controlling daily food production functions
- Collaborate with supervisors and managers on programmatic and operational changes and cost-saving initiatives
- Hire, schedule, and evaluate staff
- Perform sanitation, safety, quality, and security checks to ensure adherence to department standards and regulations
- Monitor and supervise all food service areas in the absence of higher management
- Plan special functions and menus for cafeterias, catering, and patient meal services
