Job Requirements
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Minimum of five years experience as an Executive Chef in upscale and food-focused environments
- Commitment to servant leadership principles
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a hands-on approach to cooking
- Experience working with scratch kitchens and local farmers
- Strong accountability with financial, labor, and quality control responsibilities
- Ability to work 50 to 55 hours per week
Job Qualifications
- Six plus years of experience managing kitchen operations in high-volume upscale restaurants
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of cultivating team development and cohesion
- Extensive knowledge of steakhouse cuisine and farm-fresh, scratch kitchen cooking methods
- Strong financial acumen including labor and budget management
- Ability to work hands-on and lead by example
- Passion for community engagement and sourcing local products
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Create experiences as a champion of internal hospitality and leading a team to craft dishes that leave lasting impressions
- Inspire your team by nurturing and promoting a culture of creativity, collaboration, and innovation
- Jump on the line by being a hands-on leader who actively works alongside the kitchen staff
- Oversee the business by collaborating with the General Manager and home office leaders to maximize kitchen operations, ensure quality control, manage inventory, and adhere to health and safety standards
- Manage labor, budgets, and forecasts to ensure financial targets are met
- Resolve problems efficiently and maintain effective communication within the kitchen
- Act as an ambassador for The Indigo Road Hospitality Group’s values and philosophy
