Job Requirements
- More than two years of post high school education but less than a four-year college degree
- five to ten years of related experience
- ability to lift 30-35 pounds multiple times per shift
- ability to stand continuously for long periods
- ability to kneel and climb steps
- moderate hearing and excellent vision
- some occasional driving
- flexible hours between 40 and 50 hours per week
Job Qualifications
- Advanced knowledge of principles and practices within the food profession
- strong oral and written communication skills
- excellent comprehension and literacy skills
- ability to analyze budgets
- experience in food and beverage management
- ability to handle complex problems in kitchen management
- capable of coaching and counseling kitchen staff
Job Duties
- Plan and manage kitchen staff and day-to-day kitchen operations
- recommend menu and procedural changes
- manage and adhere to budgets for food and labor costs
- hire, train, develop and motivate kitchen employees
- ensure safe, sanitary and compliant food procurement, preparation and presentation
- monitor maintenance and sanitation of kitchen and equipment
- analyze and control labor and food costs
- implement menus and back-up systems according to corporate guidelines
- promote accident prevention program
- perform special projects as assigned
- supervise 10-20 employees
