Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, hospitality management, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
  • Food safety certification
  • Ability to work long hours and flexible shifts
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Willingness to work under pressure and adapt to changing demands

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an executive chef or in a similar senior culinary role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen management
  • Ability to maintain high standards for food quality and safety
  • Experience with menu planning and food cost control

Job Duties

  • Experience training food prep employees
  • Ability to instill safety and sanitation habits in all employees
  • Teach employees the importance of consistency in preparation and presentation
  • Thorough knowledge of food handling and preparation techniques
  • Ensure that level of quality, portion control, and plate presentation is adhered to consistently
  • Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt service standards and procedures
