Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Or 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
- 4 years experience in culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
- Ability to lead and manage kitchen staff
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work full time at Marriott Long Beach Downtown, California
Job Qualifications

- Or 2-year degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major with 4 years experience
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities

- Experience in budgeting and cost control
- Culinary expertise and menu development skills
Job Duties
- Lead kitchen management team
- Provide direction for all day-to-day kitchen operations
- Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation
- Develop and implement purchasing and receiving guidelines and controls
- Establish performance, budget, and team goals
- Ensure compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
- Manage employee training, coaching, and performance evaluations
