Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- additional training beyond high school required
- registered Food Service Manager certification required
- at least 5 years field experience required
- at least 3 years experience as Executive Chef preferred
- ability to work Monday through Friday with rotating weekends
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to develop menus and manage food service operations effectively
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- additional training beyond high school
- four-year bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- at least 3 years experience as Executive Chef preferred
- at least 5 years field experience required
- registered Food Service Manager certification required
- ACF (American Culinary Federation/Texas Chefs Association) preferred
- CDM (Certified Dietary Manager) preferred
Job Duties
- Collaborates with management to establish and implement goals and quality improvement initiatives
- drives employee satisfaction through effective rounding and follow-through
- develops new recipes, menu innovations and culinary techniques
- ensures updated and accurate costs of all prepared menu items
- oversees daily operations including menu planning, purchasing, ordering, inventory and food preparation
- ensures food service staff have appropriate equipment, products and resources to perform their jobs
- oversees preparation, portion control, presentation, and safe storage and handling of food
- ensures kitchen, equipment, storage facilities and dining rooms are sanitary and orderly
- ensures effective training for food service staff and ongoing development of culinary skills
- manages food service staff including selection, orientation, scheduling, training and development
- identifies areas of risk or potential problems and advises food service leadership
- works on resolution and keeps leadership informed
