Job Requirements
- Education at A.S. level or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years culinary or kitchen management experience
- Proven hands-on kitchen leadership
- Familiarity with safety, sanitation, and food cost controls
- Strong financial management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to train and develop staff
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Willingness to engage in client satisfaction activities
Job Qualifications
- A.S. degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- Extensive catering experience a plus
- Experience with high volume, complex foodservice operations
- Hands-on chef experience
- Knowledge of food and catering trends
- Experience with Microsoft Office and related computer skills
- ServSafe certification highly desirable
- Ability to participate in client satisfaction programs
Job Duties
- Lead daily culinary production including meal preparation and food quality
- Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards
- Create decorative food displays and develop menus
- Monitor produce and meat freshness
- Conduct food inspections for consistency
- Supervise and coordinate culinary staff
- Manage department budget, monitor food and labor costs
- Participate in business strategy development
- Maintain purchasing, receiving, and food storage standards
- Provide training and coaching for team members
- Deliver exceptional customer service
- Handle guest complaints and feedback
- Conduct team meetings and establish performance goals
- Ensure fair treatment of employees
- Use teamwork to support guests and staff
- Implement strategies for team engagement and satisfaction
