The current opening is for an Executive Chef 1 position at Colorado Academy, located in Denver, CO. Colorado Academy is a prestigious private Pre-K through 12 college preparatory school set on a beautiful 96-acre campus, known for its commitment to academic excellence and community engagement. This role is ideal for a culinary professional who values creativity in food preparation while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The Executive Chef will oversee the daily culinary operations, including preparing nutritious and appealing meals for approximately 1300 students and staff. Additionally, the role includes managing a busy, high-end catering operation that serves various events ranging from continental breakfasts to elegant plated dinners.
In this role, you will be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory management, food cost analysis, and food production forecasting. Ensuring strict adherence to Sodexo’s culinary standards is paramount, including recipe compliance and maintaining high food quality. Developing and motivating team members to embrace culinary innovation and maintaining a positive team culture are key aspects of the position. You will be expected to uphold food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards, as well as effectively use automated food inventory, ordering, production, and management systems.

Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years management experience
- Minimum 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering, institutional services, or mall food courts
