Currently, Sodexo is seeking an Executive Chef 1 for Methodist Hospital-South Lake located in Merrillville, IN. This role is designed for restaurateurs and food service managers who seek a stable and rewarding career in a fast-growing industry with an emphasis on better work-life balance. The Executive Chef 1 is a critical leadership position responsible for implementing and standardizing culinary systems, maintaining food and physical safety standards, and managing frontline culinary staff. This role involves procurement, menu creation tailored to client needs, and innovating retail, catering, and patient food service operations. Strong emphasis is placed on mentoring staff, fostering team development, and creating effective interpersonal client relationships.

The role invites candidates who possess solid culinary expertise from high-volume environments coupled with strong management experience. The ability to remain highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient in computer skills is key. Candidates should demonstrate creative and effective problem-solving abilities and project management acumen to establish efficient processes with minimal supervision.
