Job Description

This position serves as the strategic business leader responsible for overseeing the entire food and beverage and culinary operations within a property. The scope of this role includes management of Restaurants, Bars, Room Service, Purchasing, Banquets, Catering, Stewarding, and employee cafeterias when applicable. The main objective is to develop and implement departmental strategies that align with the brand's service strategy and initiatives to ensure the highest standards of customer experience and operational efficiency. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the food and beverage operations meet the brand's expectations of quality, service, and financial performance. The leader in this role actively monitors all aspects of the food and beverage operations, including revenue growth, cost control, staff performance, and employee satisfaction.

The individual in this role is also tasked with the development and implementation of strategies that deliver exceptional products and services to meet or exceed the expectations of both the brand’s target customers and the property employees. As a key leader, this position requires strong guidance and development of staff and direct reports to maintain optimal performance across all food and beverage departments. Ensuring strict adherence to sanitation and food safety standards is also a critical responsibility.

This position demands a high level of expertise in food and beverage management combined with strong business acumen. The strategic leader oversees the creation and maintenance of budgets that support the department’s goals while maximizing financial returns. Additionally, this role emphasizes building and nurturing a high-performing and service-oriented team that upholds the brand's reputation for excellence. The candidate must be adept at managing human resources activities to retain top talent and foster a positive work culture.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 6 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area

Job Qualifications

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major
  • 4 years experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
