Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- able to perform physically demanding tasks including standing, bending, and lifting
- willing to work various shifts including nights and weekends
- able to adhere to hospital cleanliness and safety standards
- capable of following detailed cleaning procedures
- basic understanding of infection control practices
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment
- ability to follow detailed instructions and safety protocols
- strong attention to detail
- good physical stamina to perform demanding tasks
- effective communication skills for teamwork and reporting
Job Duties
- maintain general appearance of resilient floor and carpeted surfaces in corridors, patient rooms, and public areas
- perform terminal cleaning of specialized hospital units including operating rooms, cardiac cath lab, intensive care unit, and labor & delivery rooms
- execute stripping and waxing of floors
- follow standard departmental procedures and hospital cleaning objectives
- complete required competencies within the introductory period
- perform other related housekeeping duties as assigned
