Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year experience in housekeeping or related field preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of hospital cleaning and sanitation standards
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Must complete all required training and competencies within introductory period
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and use cleaning equipment properly
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferred
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform physical tasks
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment usage
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Responsible for the general appearance of resilient floor and carpeted surfaces in corridors, patient rooms, public areas, offices, treatment rooms and other areas deemed necessary by the supervisor
- Perform terminal cleaning of Operating Room, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Intensive Care Unit, Electro Physiology Labs, Labor and Delivery Rooms, Labor and Delivery Operating Room, Recovery Pre-holding, Behavioral Health Units, or other assigned areas according to standard departmental procedures and hospital objectives
- Perform stripping and waxing of floors and other floor care responsibilities
- Complete established competencies for the position within the designated introductory period
- Maintain compliance with hospital safety and sanitation policies
- Use cleaning equipment and materials properly and safely
- Assist with other related duties as assigned
