Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent work experience
- basic computer skills preferred
- ability to operate small electrical equipment
- excellent customer service skills
- effective English communication skills including reading safety materials
- physical ability to walk, stand, bend, climb, and lift up to 35 pounds
- adherence to hospital handwashing and infection control policies
- punctuality and reliable attendance
- willingness to participate in mandatory trainings and meetings
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- basic computer skills preferred
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to communicate effectively in English, including reading safety and chemical labels
- knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- ability to operate small electrical equipment such as vacuum cleaners
- commitment to professional growth through training and development
Job Duties
- Clean and disinfect assigned areas including patient rooms, offices, restrooms, elevators, and stairwells
- operate cleaning equipment following department procedures
- use chemicals and cleaning solutions according to policy
- maintain orderly, clean, and safe work areas
- demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction by using AIDET and handling conflicts constructively
- thoroughly clean and sanitize rooms and beds following patient discharges
- replenish supplies and manage waste collection and sanitation
- adhere to infection control and safety policies including proper handwashing
- prepare cleaning and disinfectant solutions
- move and arrange furniture and equipment as needed
- identify and report equipment repairs and safety hazards
- segregate and handle hazardous and medical waste properly
- participate in mandatory trainings and departmental meetings
- maintain punctuality and follow hospital attendance policies
