Job Description

The EVS Attendant position is an integral role within a company's Environmental Services (EVS) team, often found in hospitality, gaming, or large-scale entertainment venues that prioritize maintaining a clean and safe environment for both employees and guests. The company hiring for this role is dedicated to upholding high standards of cleanliness, safety, and overall facility maintenance, ensuring an exceptional guest experience. EVS Attendants act as ambassadors for the organization, representing the brand's commitment to cleanliness and operational excellence. This position typically falls under full-time or part-time employment depending on the organization's needs, with working hours often scheduled to complement operational hours of front-of-house and back-of-house areas.

As an EVS Attendant, the primary responsibility is to maintain the assigned areas' cleanliness and overall condition while supporting the department's operational efficiency. This role requires completing various cleaning, sanitizing, and maintenance tasks across multiple locations, such as gaming areas, restrooms, front and back-of-house sections, and sometimes off-site facilities. The EVS Attendant is expected to adhere to strict safety guidelines, including proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards.

The EVS Attendant job is not just about cleaning; it's about taking personal ownership of the workplace environment, proactively identifying necessary repairs, safety concerns, and restocking cleaning supplies. Additionally, the role demands a strong commitment to teamwork, engaging with guests and team members alike to provide excellent service. Operating specialized equipment like trash compactors and industrial cleaning machines safely and efficiently is also part of the job. Attendants must document completed work accurately and maintain custodial equipment to ensure continued smooth operation.

Having strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while meeting or exceeding performance standards are crucial for success in this role. The EVS Attendant should demonstrate problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and a collaborative mindset. The position offers an opportunity for individuals seeking to contribute to a clean, welcoming environment, often serving as the backbone of the operational support team in hospitality or recreational settings. While physical activity and attention to detail are vital aspects of the role, the EVS Attendant also takes pride in their contribution to the guest experience and the company’s reputation for excellence.
