Job Requirements
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Prior experience in environmental services or related cleaning roles preferred
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, washers, and dryers
- Strong communication skills including verbal and written
- Ability to follow established sanitization protocols and safety guidelines
- Capability to work varied shifts including every other weekend
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks and handle materials safely
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- Knowledge of proper cleaning procedures and maintaining a sterile environment
- Ability to interpret verbal, written, diagram, or schedule instructions
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills
- Ability to operate environmental service equipment
- Ability to prioritize assignments and work within policies
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Problem-solving skills to evaluate and resolve standard issues
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with peers and staff
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, attractive, and safe environment in assigned areas
- Perform various cleaning tasks in patient rooms, offices, hallways, and other facility areas
- Handle trash removal and linen management efficiently
- Set up rooms according to hospital standards
- Operate mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, washers, and dryers
- Distribute supplies to departments and maintain stock levels
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, patients, and other hospital personnel
