We are currently seeking a full-time PM shift cook to join our vibrant dining services team at Evergreen Court. This role offers a pay range of $24.00 to $27.00 per hour, depending on experience, with flexible day scheduling options, though one weekend day is required. The cook will be responsible for preparing assigned kitchen stations for shift work under the guidance of the dining services manager. This includes crafting individual components of various entrees and food items in accordance with the dietary restrictions and preferences of our residents. The role emphasizes maintaining kitchen food safety and hygiene compliant with State, Federal, and DSHS regulations, ensuring that all food served meets the highest standards. Other duties may be assigned by management, providing opportunities for skill development and teamwork within the dining services department. The ideal candidate will possess prior cooking experience, be adept at preparing therapeutic and modified diets, and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with residents, staff, and food vendors. This position requires physical capability to push, pull, and carry items up to 30 pounds and may necessitate CPR and first aid certification along with successful completion of background checks and health screenings. Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • valid WA State Food Handler's card or be willing to obtain
  • prior experience as a cook, sous chef, or grill cook (1-2 years preferred)
  • ability to prepare high quality food
  • flexibility with schedule including occasional weekends
  • ability to maintain professional relationships with food and equipment vendors
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to prepare therapeutic and modified diets
  • CPR and first aid training may be required
  • completion of background check, fingerprinting, and TB 2-step test
  • physical ability to push, pull, or carry up to 30 pounds

Job Duties
