Job Description
Marriott International is a global hospitality company known for delivering exceptional experiences to travelers around the world. One of its distinguished brands, Courtyard by Marriott, caters specifically to business travelers. Courtyard's mission is to empower its guests with a seamless and enjoyable stay, whether their journey is for business or leisure. The company places a high emphasis on diversity and inclusion, fostering a welcoming environment for all employees regardless of disability, veteran status, or other protections under the law. Marriott is committed to upholding confidentiality, maintaining professional appearance standards, and ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction across all its properties.
This position is based at the Courtyard Marriott located at 5201 N Pima Rd, Scottsdale, Arizona. It is a full-time, non-management administrative role, integral to the smooth operation of the hotel's events and guest services. The role involves verifying and supporting event planning and execution on the property while providing critical administrative support to the General Managers of Sales, Marketing, and Business (MSB) on site. This job involves interacting with guests attending meetings, acting as the primary contact to ensure their experiences are seamless and positive. The successful candidate will also coordinate with Group Sales Office teams and Area Sales to gather, develop, and update property website materials on Marriott.com. Administrative tasks will be assigned at the discretion of the General Managers.
In this role, the ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism in appearance and behavior, uphold all company policies, and protect company property. The ability to communicate clearly and professionally is essential, as is the skill to prepare and review written documentation accurately and promptly. Answering telephone calls with appropriate etiquette and developing positive workplace relationships to support team goals are vital components of this job. The position may require standing, sitting, or walking for prolonged periods and occasionally lifting, transporting, or moving objects weighing up to 10 pounds independently. Other reasonable duties may be requested by supervisors to ensure the hotel's operations run smoothly.
At Courtyard, the culture is built on passion and a commitment to better serve travelers worldwide. The team values ambition, a willingness to learn, and a desire to deliver guest experiences that exceed expectations. As part of Marriott International, employees benefit from being part of a global team with opportunities for personal and professional growth. Joining this team means contributing to an environment that celebrates diverse backgrounds, ideas, and talents. The company encourages all team members to bring their unique perspectives and be the best version of themselves in a supportive, inclusive workplace.
