The Hyatt Regency Seattle, along with Hyatt at Olive 8 and Grand Hyatt Seattle, proudly represents some of the premier hotel destinations in the Pacific Northwest. We are currently seeking an Area Event Planning (Catering) Manager to oversee and manage group events across these three distinguished hotels. This role is a marvelous opportunity for professionals who are passionate about event planning and enjoy working in a lively, fast-paced hospitality environment. The primary responsibility of the Area Event Planning (Catering) Manager is to serve as the key liaison between the sales teams, meeting planners, and hotel staff to ensure the flawless execution of events. This position focuses on servicing sales bookings, administering sales agreements, managing all food, beverage, and audio/visual requirements, and overseeing room blocks, billing instructions, and final reviews. Additionally, the event planning manager acts as the on-site contact during events, ensuring that every detail is executed seamlessly.
This role not only involves meticulous organizational skills and superior communication to interface with clients and team members effectively but also requires a strong ability to multitask and adapt within a dynamic environment. The salary range for this position is $80,169 to $106,000, with final compensation determined by experience, qualifications, and education. The position is also eligible for the Sales Incentive Plan, adding a performance-based reward element to this role. Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- a minimum of 1-3 years of hotel event sales or event planning experience
- refined verbal and written communication skills
- proficiency in general computer knowledge

- preferred two years hotel experience or completed event management trainee program
