The Senator John Heinz History Center, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is Pennsylvania's largest history museum and a Smithsonian-affiliated institution. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum two years experience in event execution and facility rental coordination
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • availability to work evenings and weekends
  • ability to manage projects independently and as part of a team
  • excellent communication skills
  • experience with audio visual and sound equipment preferred
  • ability to remain calm under pressure and solve problems
  • customer service orientation
  • preferred supervisory experience

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • support the Events Director and Event Coordinators in event production
  • manage setup and teardown of event assets
  • coordinate vendor load-ins and load-outs
  • operate audio visual equipment during events
  • communicate effectively with staff, clients, vendors, and visitors
  • manage event staff on-site during operations
  • ensure compliance with museum safety and best practices
