Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- College or university degree in event management, business management or project management
- 3 to 5 years of operational and/or event management experience
- experience with Illustrator and floor planning considered an asset
- experience with Salesforce and/or other CRM platforms considered an asset
- logistics experience considered an asset
- proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- must be available to work evenings and weekends during event dates
- able to travel to 4-5 events per year within Canada and US with a valid passport
Job Duties
- Lead operations for flagship events as assigned
- plan and organize all logistical aspects of each event
- assume fiscal responsibility for operational budget lines as assigned
- negotiate and manage partnerships with key operational suppliers
- deliver events on-time and on-budget while continuously improving event delivery and creativity
- manage relationships and negotiate costs with facilities and outside suppliers including AV, general services, cleaning, food and beverage, staffing agencies, signage, registration, security, decorators and contractors
- act as liaison between sales team and show management regarding floor plans, room layouts, and booth regulations
- control exhibitor and sponsor communications and services related to operational event details
- oversee event move-in and move-out logistics, event set up, and staffing
- ensure health and safety compliance on-site and within the office
- lead management of show and office supplies and assets onsite, in warehouse, and with third-party storage
- manage operational budgets, year-over-year proposal analysis, invoice review, and reconciliation
- oversee maintenance and growth of registration process, ticketing, and badges
- manage operational website updates and efficiency
- maintain contractor and venue knowledge to evaluate services, facilities, and industry best practices
- collaborate with sales, sponsorship, and marketing teams to optimize processes
- work with senior management to enhance product and service offerings
- manage the effectiveness of office operations
- assist with diverse tasks throughout portfolio and office
