Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in event management or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant event management experience
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software
  • Excellent problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • 2 to 5 years experience managing multiple clients and programs
  • Demonstrated success in planning and executing events
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Self-motivated, customer-focused, and team-oriented
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Proficient in vendor and contract management
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred

Job Duties

  • Provide operational solutions to clients, always looking for improvements and efficiencies
  • Manage all vendors required for a program
  • Own the Statement of Work, any additional deposit requests, and final invoicing
  • Manage assigned Event Staff during the event and proactively prepare staff prior to an event to ensure consistent communication and operational excellence
  • Upsell services that would improve the client experience
  • Own the budget with a goal of obtaining gross profit goals
  • Connect with hotel conference service managers and onsite staff to ensure a seamless partnership for the client between DMC and Hotel
  • Manage Salesforce database regarding ASO's and Vendor information, and work with procurement to confirm vendors are vetted and approved
  • Ensure that KPIs and Key Results are measured and met
