Job Requirements
- 2 or more years of professional work experience in event production and/or marketing and communications
- Relevant education considered in lieu of some work experience
- Ability to work in person at Allentown, PA office and nearby event sites at least 4 days a week
- Availability to work several planned evenings and weekends each month
- Ability to travel to Lehigh, Northampton and Carbon counties as needed
- Ability to load and unload vehicle with event items weighing up to 30 lbs and assist with setup and breakdown
- Not a family member of a current UWGLV employee or board member
Job Qualifications
- 2 or more years of professional work experience in event production or marketing and communications
- Demonstrated ability to independently produce events
- Familiarity with event spaces and logistics in the Greater Lehigh Valley
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Job Duties
- Manage events, trainings and conferences
- Provide event planning and day-of coordination for organization events
- Collaborate with Staff Lead to create event goals, budget and key audiences
- Prep event logistics including invitations, rentals, catering, materials, agendas, speakers and day of management
- Conduct event debrief meetings and create recap posts for social media
- Support Director, Events and Engagement as needed with all events
- Provide general marketing and communications administrative support
