The role of Events Manager at Spring Point Partners is a vital position responsible for bringing The Hive’s mission to life through planning, designing, and executing high-quality convenings that engage diverse audiences in learning and connection. This position requires an experienced professional who can manage events both within The Hive and in external venues, ensuring each gathering aligns with the organization’s standards of quality, care, and purpose. The Events Manager acts as the primary owner of the participant experience, managing events from conception through follow-up to create engaging, inclusive, and purposeful experiences. This role demands a blend of creativity, organizational structure, and the ability to perform under pressure, delivering seamless experiences that support Spring Point’s impact goals.
Additionally, the Events Manager collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to coordinate logistics, vendor relationships, timelines, and operational details. They ensure that all events reflect Spring Point’s values and foster meaningful participation and engagement. Beyond event execution, the manager oversees venue management at The Hive, coordinates space bookings, and partners with operational staff to maintain a guest-ready environment.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience in event management or related fields
- Proven project management and organizational skills
- Ability to work onsite full-time in Philadelphia
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and occasional travel
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience managing budgets and vendor relationships
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure
Job Qualifications
- Five plus years of experience in event management, hospitality, or experience-driven environments
- Proven ability to design and deliver end-to-end event or participant experiences
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience coordinating vendors, logistics, and stakeholders across complex environments
- Ability to operate in fast-paced settings and exercise sound judgment under pressure
- Experience managing budgets and making resource-informed decisions
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Experience supervising or guiding support staff
- Experience in nonprofit, philanthropic, or mission-driven organizations is preferred
- Experience supporting learning-focused convenings or multi-day programs is preferred
- Familiarity with inclusive hospitality and accessibility practices is preferred
Job Duties
- Partner with internal teams to design mission-aligned convenings with clear objectives and outcomes
- Translate goals into engaging event structures and participant experiences
- Establish and uphold standards for high-quality, intentional events
- Lead end-to-end execution of in-person, virtual, hybrid, and offsite events
- Manage timelines, logistics, vendors, and coordination across stakeholders
- Serve as the primary point of contact during events, making real-time decisions to ensure a seamless experience
- Ensure a consistent, people-first experience across all events
- Design inclusive, welcoming environments that support meaningful engagement
- Oversee communication and follow-up to ensure clarity and continuity
- Manage the venue calendar and space booking process
- Partner with operations staff to ensure the space is consistently guest-ready
- Build and refine systems, tools, and workflows to support efficient event execution
- Track participation, feedback, and event data to improve future convenings
- Develop and manage event budgets
- Supervise and guide event support staff
- Coordinate staffing coverage aligned with event needs
