Job Description

Cidi Labs is a dynamic and innovative company specializing in developing plugins for the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS), which are currently used by over 600 educational institutions worldwide to enhance their online courses. Renowned for its customer-first obsession, Cidi Labs has cultivated a passionate and loyal customer base that appreciates the company’s commitment to delivering exceptional products and outstanding support. The company’s culture is built on kindness, fun, dedication, and flexibility, making it a desirable workplace for individuals who value a positive and collaborative team environment. If you are passionate about making a difference in the field of education and enjoy working with a team that is committed to innovation and excellence, Cidi Labs offers an exciting career opportunity for motivated professionals.

The Events Manager role at Cidi Labs is an integral part of the small but highly effective Marketing team. This position serves as the operational backbone of Cidi Labs’ events program, ensuring that all tradeshows and webinars execute flawlessly. The role requires meticulous coordination and management of all events-related activities to guarantee that the marketing team is fully prepared and that the investment in events delivers measurable results. The Events Manager will manage a comprehensive calendar of around 30 annual trade shows, handle sponsorship details, deadlines, and logistics to ensure consistent event success.

Primarily a part-time position offering 25 to 30 hours per week with flexible scheduling based on the candidate’s preference, this role allows for potential growth into a full-time role as responsibilities increase. The position is mostly remote, but candidates must be located near Draper, Utah, to manage physical inventory and shipping tasks associated with the company’s events. The salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $60,000 annually, reflecting the critical importance of this position within the company.

Key responsibilities include overseeing tradeshow booth setups, swag selection and management, lead generation activities during events, inventory management of event materials, coordination of shipments, and ensuring that internal event attendees are well-prepared with the necessary materials and information. The Events Manager will also collaborate closely with the VP of Finance and Strategy to assess event ROI and guide future event investment decisions. Additionally, this role encompasses managing the logistics of a successful webinar program conducted twice monthly, including technical setup, presenter coordination, and post-event follow-up.

This role requires exceptional organizational and project management skills, strong follow-through to ensure no details are missed, and excellent communication abilities to coordinate with multiple teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with tools such as Google Workspace, Zoom, HubSpot, and Canva is advantageous, especially for managing marketing operations and workflows related to events. The ideal candidate thrives in a remote work environment and exhibits a proactive, ownership-driven approach to their responsibilities.

Joining Cidi Labs means working in a supportive and engaging environment where your contributions directly impact the company’s growth and the success of clients using innovative educational technology. The company offers a flexible time-off policy, a 401(k) plan with generous company matching, opportunities for career advancement, and a mostly remote work setup, ensuring an excellent work-life balance. This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, energetic, and dedicated Events Manager to make a meaningful difference and grow with a company committed to educational innovation.
