Job Description
Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel, part of the globally recognized Marriott International portfolio, is a vibrant full-service hotel situated in one of Texas's premier business and entertainment districts. Known for its blend of sophisticated accommodation and immersive guest experiences, Renaissance Hotels create a unique atmosphere that captures the spirit of the local community. Marriott International is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment that celebrates the diversity of its associates and provides equal employment opportunities regardless of race, disability, veteran status, or any other protected classification. This strong corporate culture emphasizes collaboration, respect, and professional growth, ensuring that every team member can thrive and contribute meaningfully within a global hospitality leader.
The position available is for an Event Manager at Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel, located at 6007 Legacy Dr, Plano, Texas. This full-time management role is designed for a seasoned professional who excels in orchestrating seamless events by coordinating between sales, property departments, and clients to deliver exceptional service from start to finish. The annual salary ranges from $55,000 to $72,000, with eligibility for a performance bonus, reflecting the hotel's dedication to rewarding expertise and successful event execution. Hybrid working options become available after 90 days, providing flexibility once the candidate is fully integrated with the team and operations.
As an Event Manager, the core responsibilities involve managing all event logistics and documentation, ensuring a smooth transition of events from the sales team to service teams, and ultimately back to sales for follow-up. The role requires detailed coordination with multiple departments to maximize revenue opportunities through strategic up-selling and enhancements that elevate guest experiences. The ideal candidate will demonstrate adeptness at handling events of medium complexity, effectively managing group room blocks, and creating memorable event moments by applying current trends in event management and design.
Additionally, the role encompasses leading event management teams through formal pre- and post-event meetings, liaising directly with clients during critical phases, and supporting sales and marketing efforts through accurate forecasting and revenue management. This position fosters a culture of continuous improvement by actively seeking guest and team feedback, addressing operational challenges proactively, and implementing corrective actions to enhance service quality. Candidates with prior Marriott event planning experience or those with backgrounds in front desk or banquet management roles will find their skills particularly aligned with the hotel’s operational approach.
Working at Renaissance Dallas means joining a team passionate about helping guests explore and experience the vibrant neighborhood around the hotel. The brand values guest satisfaction, employee empowerment, and the creation of unexpected, memorable moments. Employees at Renaissance Hotels become part of a broader community within Marriott International, gaining access to a wealth of career development resources and the chance to grow within a global hospitality powerhouse. This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of guest interactions and event successes in a dynamic and engaging environment, pushing the boundaries of traditional hospitality and event management.
