Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years experience in event management or related professional area
- OR 2-year degree from accredited university in related field
- At least 1 year experience in event management
- Ability to manage event logistics
- Strong customer service skills
- Leadership and team management abilities
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work full time
- Local work availability at Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years experience in event management or related area
- OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major with at least 1 year experience in event management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple complex events simultaneously
- Knowledge of event management trends and best practices
- Leadership experience in coordinating teams
- Proficiency in customer service and problem resolution
Job Duties
- Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales and property departments
- Ensure seamless event progression by following procedures and collaborating with staff
- Greet customers during event phase and hand-off to event operations team
- Manage group room blocks and meeting space for assigned groups
- Act as liaison between sales and customers throughout event process
- Conduct pre-event and post-event meetings for assigned groups
- Respond to and handle guest problems and complaints promptly
