The role of Events Manager with one of Cella's distinguished clients is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in New York City, offering an attractive compensation range of $80,000 to $100,000 per year. This position requires an experienced professional to lead and oversee the complete event planning lifecycle, ensuring the flawless execution of high-quality, memorable events for a diverse clientele. The successful candidate will act as the pivotal liaison among clients, venues, vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to guarantee seamless coordination, exceptional service delivery, and adherence to budgetary constraints.
This Events Manager position demands a strategic thinker with a strong operational mindset and excellent negotiation skills. You will be entrusted with sourcing unique and appealing event venues such as hotels, galleries, and rooftops, as well as managing relationships with specialized vendors offering catering, audiovisual equipment, and décor services. Financial acumen is key, as you will take charge of contract negotiations, manage comprehensive event budgets from initial deposits through final reconciliations, and ensure cost efficiencies throughout the event process.
Your expertise in event logistics will be critical, including independently managing Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), menu planning, room layouts, and shipping logistics. On the day of the event, you will provide on-site leadership, overseeing setup, registration, staffing, and addressing any unforeseen challenges with calm and effective problem-solving skills. Client communication is essential, as you will be responsible for participating in client calls, offering strategic recommendations, and providing regular updates to align the event outcomes with their vision and expectations.
To excel in this role, you must be a proactive 'work athlete' with a 'get things done' attitude and impeccable attention to detail. A strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace tools is essential to manage various aspects of event planning effectively. Additionally, this position requires flexibility and willingness to travel as necessary to ensure event success. This opportunity represents a chance to join a dynamic, growing organization where your skills and leadership will directly impact the quality and success of high-profile events. Join this vibrant team and contribute to creating unforgettable experiences in one of the world's most exciting cities.
