Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years experience in event management or related field
- OR 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- At least 1 year experience in event management or related professional area
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales and property departments
- Proactive problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Customer-focused mindset
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
- 1-2 years experience in event management or related professional area
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple events and coordinate with diverse teams
- Leadership and team management abilities
- Knowledge of event logistics and operations
- Proficient in billing and revenue forecasting
- Experience with up-selling and event enhancement strategies
- Capable of problem-solving and implementing corrective action plans
Job Duties
- Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales, property departments, and customers
- Ensure seamless event progression by following established procedures and collaborating with employees
- Greet customers during event phases and hand off to event operations team
- Manage group room blocks and meeting spaces for assigned groups
- Conduct pre-event and post-event meetings to review and communicate group needs
- Assist in sales process and revenue forecasting
- Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results and provide feedback
- Address operational challenges with property staff and customers
- Deliver excellent customer service and handle guest problems and complaints
- Lead and empower event management teams
- Oversee billing accuracy and conduct bill reviews with clients
