Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years experience in event management or related field
- or 2-year degree from accredited university
- at least 1 year experience in event management
- strong communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively with teams
- customer-focused mindset
- proficiency in managing event logistics
- ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues
- willingness to learn and adapt
- ability to participate effectively in event-related meetings
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- experience in event management or related area
- or 2-year degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related major
- at least 1 year of event management experience
- strong customer service skills
- excellent communication and organizational skills
- ability to lead teams and coordinate multiple tasks
- knowledge of event planning best practices
- problem-solving and decision-making skills
Job Duties
- prepare all event documentation
- coordinate with sales, property departments and customers
- manage event logistics and operations
- ensure billing accuracy and conduct bill reviews
- manage group room blocks and meeting space
- recognize opportunities to maximize revenue through up-selling
- act as liaison between sales and customers during event phases
- participate in customer site inspections
- provide exceptional customer service
- oversee customer experiences from file turnover through post-event phase
- respond to and handle guest problems and complaints
- conduct formal pre- and post-event meetings
- assist in sales process and revenue forecasting
- lead event management teams
- review comment cards and guest satisfaction with employees
- provide feedback and assist with corrective action plans
- address operational challenges and develop solutions
