The Guest Experience Ambassador role at MetroLagoons is a pivotal position responsible for bringing the entertainment and activities to life at one of the lagoon locations in the Tampa Bay area. This full-time, hourly position includes valuable benefits and offers a dynamic work environment where the successful candidate will oversee and execute a variety of strategic partnership and event initiatives. The role is centered on creating exceptional on-site guest experiences by managing event logistics, acting as the emcee for entertainment activities such as trivia, karaoke, and bingo, and overseeing kid-friendly programming. The ambassador serves as the enthusiastic “Funbassador” who energizes guests and ensures a lively and engaging atmosphere throughout the day.

In addition to being a face of the brand during events, the Guest Experience Ambassador coordinates with third-party contractors and business partners to maintain seamless event execution. This includes managing contracts, overseeing schedules, and handling operational and financial reconciliation related to these partnerships. The position requires close collaboration with the Corporate Strategic Partnership & Events team to align on the event calendar, labor expenses, and overall guest experience goals.

This role demands strong organizational skills, impeccable communication abilities, and a flair for public speaking and hosting. The ideal candidate will bring marketing or event management experience, a passion for customer service, and the ability to engage diverse audiences including families and children. Since the schedule is primarily Wednesday through Sunday, from late morning to early evening, with some evenings depending on event needs, flexibility and enthusiasm are necessary qualities.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in event coordination or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing and advertising
  • hospitality or customer service experience preferred
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • excellent communication and public speaking abilities
  • ability to engage and entertain diverse audiences including families and children

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • bachelor’s degree in event management, marketing, or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years experience in digital marketing and advertising
  • 1+ years experience in event coordination or related role
  • hospitality or customer service experience preferred
  • experience as host, emcee, or similar role is a plus
  • strong organizational and time management skills
  • excellent communication, public speaking, and interpersonal abilities
  • ability to engage diverse audiences including families and children

Job Duties

  • Coordinate on-site presence for partnerships and events including managing signage and radio programming
  • serve as the on-site point of contact for event setup logistics and execution
  • act as an emcee for events such as trivia, karaoke, and bingo
  • lead kid's activities and pop-up events for a family-friendly atmosphere
  • manage contracts and schedules for third-party contractors and partners
  • collaborate on implementing the monthly SP&E calendar and ensure alignment with standards
  • assist in monitoring labor and operational expenses to adhere to budgets
  • work closely with the lagoon team to support event logistics and guest experience goals
  • maintain communication with the Strategic Partnership & Events team and compile post-event reports
