The Event Coordinator II plays a vital role within Aramark’s catering operations, overseeing and supporting the planning and execution of catering events across both central and satellite locations. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure all catering brand standards and company initiatives are consistently achieved. The Event Coordinator II is tasked with supervising event staff, coordinating resources and equipment, and managing event logistics from set-up to breakdown. Additionally, this role involves booking events, selecting and costing menu items, and pricing to meet client and company goals.
This role is integral to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment by fostering a culture of safety where no injuries occur. The Event Coordinator II is also involved in staffing activities such as hiring, coaching, and conducting performance reviews, thereby contributing to the development and success of the team. Coordination with internal departments and collaboration with vendors and key clients ensure smooth execution of events that meet and exceed customer expectations.
The position demands proactive participation in management meetings and ongoing training programs to both learn and help develop training initiatives for hourly, part-time, and student employees. Job Duties
- Develops and is accountable for a safety culture that creates a work environment where no one gets hurt
- directly supervises catering operations including such duties as coordination of staff and rental equipment, set-up, preparation, service, and breakdown of catered foods, beverages, and events of varying size and complexity
- booking events, selecting and costing menu items, and pricing as needed
- assists with hiring, coaching, and performance reviews
- coordinates activities with other internal departments
- participates in management team meetings
- collaborate with vendors and key service users within client organization
- facilitate external customer relations
- represents Aramark and the client at all meetings and events
