Job Requirements
- Event planning experience preferred
- Ability to use Microsoft Office and Google applications

Job Qualifications
- Event planning experience or relevant experience in recreation, hospitality, marketing, or communications with a minimum of 1-2 years preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, website content management systems, Google applications including Gmail, social media platforms, and graphic software such as Adobe, Publisher, Photoshop, and InDesign preferred
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with internal and external customers
- Strong project planning, organization, and strategic planning abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple tasks and projects
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle
- Flexibility to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to travel regionally for work, training, and meetings
Job Duties
- Develop and coordinate all phases of event planning process including research, design, planning, coordination, and evaluation
- Manage and execute multiple events simultaneously including timelines, production schedules, risk assessments, creative design, vendor and venue management, event team coordination, and logistics
- Coordinate event production including setup, hosting, risk briefing, logistics management, and tear down
- Oversee budgets and contracts including processing invoices and vendor quotes
- Support district teams in the event planning process to ensure successful event experiences
- Develop and implement marketing plans and materials such as flyers, website content, social media posts, newsletters, banners, posters, and photography
- Collaborate with military organizations, agencies, and businesses for partnerships and sponsorships
- Maintain accurate event records and submit required documentation
- Support department through special projects and additional duties
- Comply with OSHA safety regulations, local health and safety laws, Fair Housing policies, and company standards
