Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with children and children’s events
  • Retail or customer service experience
  • Good written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, carrying, and using ladders
  • Must be able to engage with guests of all ages and maintain a positive, respectful attitude

Job Duties

  • Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and craft classes
  • Engage with clients of all ages by creating a fun and creative environment
  • Demonstrate and instruct craft projects, face painting, and party activities
  • Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons according to company standards
  • Communicate event details with clients and store team members
  • Complete administrative tasks including answering emails, making phone calls, and paperwork
  • Adjust event plans based on client feedback and create backup plans
  • Ensure client satisfaction and uphold cleanliness and safety standards before and after each event
  • Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
  • Provide fast and friendly checkout experience
  • Promote Rewards program and Private Label Credit Card enrollments
  • Educate customers on Voice of Customer survey
  • Assist with Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store processes
  • Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
  • Complete merchandise recovery and store maintenance
  • Support shrink and safety programs
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Company policies
  • Interact respectfully and positively with customers and team
  • Cross-trained in custom framing selling and production
  • Participate in daily store cleanliness activities such as sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and restroom maintenance
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed
