The position of Events Coordinator at Betty & Bobby Allison Sports Town is a part-time role based within the Operations Department and reports directly to the Business Development & Events Director. This role is pivotal in promoting the venue as a premier regional location for sports events, conferences, and various special gatherings. The Events Coordinator will support the management and marketing of a diverse schedule of tournaments, events, and facility rentals, working closely with internal teams, event providers, local businesses, and sponsors. A strong emphasis is placed on collaborative planning, flawless event execution, and the enhancement of primary revenue streams through strategic marketing and advertising initiatives. The Events Coordinator will also support sponsorship sales activities, ensuring sustainable partnerships that contribute to the financial success of the facility. Success in this role is measured through key performance indicators (KPIs) focused on event execution quality, sponsorship engagement, and overall contribution to the facility's growth and community presence.
This role requires an energetic and detail-oriented individual who can act as a key point of contact during events, including serving as the Manager-On-Duty (MOD). The ideal candidate will have proven experience in youth and amateur sports environments or related sectors like marketing or event management. Knowledge of working with convention and visitor bureaus or regional sports commissions is highly valued, along with a demonstrated ability to promote and facilitate special events and conferences. This role demands an action-oriented attitude with a strong proficiency for operational efficiency, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Technological adeptness is required, with advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office applications and comfort using various project management and cloud-based platforms. Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays is essential to meet the demands of event schedules and facility needs. Job Requirements
- must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights weekends holidays and long hours

- ability to sit or stand for extended periods indoors or outdoors and squat stoop or bend
- willingness to operate a computer in an environment with intermittent loud noise levels
Job Qualifications
- experience in youth and amateur sports as a consumer marketing professional or other relevant experience
- experience working with convention and visitors bureaus regional sports commissions and/or regional event management booking in a regional sport and/or convention center
- experience in promoting booking and delivering special events conferences and meetings
- technological savvy with skills in using multiple platforms or software for a variety of tasks such as cloud file management or project management
- advanced knowledge in using Microsoft Outlook Word Excel and PowerPoint
- excellent interpersonal problem solving and negotiating skills
- excellent verbal and written communication skills
- able to work a flexible work schedule including nights weekends holidays and long hours
- team player and deadline-driven
- skilled at identifying and creating opportunities or promotions to deliver revenue goals
Job Duties
- supporting the management of an events calendar of rental/tournaments booked listing all facility activities planned
- communications with all stakeholders of events
- serve as Manager-On-Duty at events
- participate in planning/strategic meetings
- assist in promotion and advertising efforts
- support selling sponsorships
- perform other duties as assigned by management
